Breaking Tradition—For Good!
Your support of locally-led and holistic Bible translation projects is leading to
breakthroughs in multiple language communities of Cameroon.
In the Koffa community of Cameroon, the Fon, the community’s highest traditional leader, broke with tradition. Rather than having the Fons from neighbouring communities give him their blessing, he asked the Koffa pastors to lay their hands on him and pray to Jesus. By this, he was declaring from that day forward the Koffa people would belong to Jesus! Acceptance from leadership confirms local ownership of the translated Scripture and widespread transformation.
