Ted Seres

Ted is passionate about fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, and seeing people connect with God in their own language. Before joining OneBook, he served as the National Director of the Canadian Bible Society. Ted is an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada where he has served in pastoral ministry missions with newcomers to Canada, First Nations leadership, and chaplaincy.

Development Lead

Sarah-Jane Downing

After 10 years writing for OneBook, Sarah moved into the role of Development Lead in Spring 2021. She is more passionate than ever about the wholistic impact of language and literacy, and delights in raising awareness of how mother-tongue Scripture and resources are transforming entire communities forever. Sarah is active in her local church, and loves travelling the world with her family.

Lynette Dieleman

Lynette Dieleman

Lynette comes to OneBook with experience in project management in Africa. She now enjoys living and working out of multi-ethnic London, ON. Over the years Lynette has been inspired by local communities who trust God and work together to overcome obstacles and achieve project goals.

Laura Lapsley

Laura joined OneBook in 2015, bringing her many years of tech, data management and administrative experience with her. Laura feels privileged to work with such an amazing team, furthering the Kingdom of God around the world. Laura loves everything Disney, travel, and the Toronto Blue Jays and enjoys dragging her husband and kids around on all of her adventures!

Canna is passionate about helping people. She has been a part of the OneBook team for over 10 years, where she enjoys serving God with her accounting skills and seeing His great work around the world. Canna graduated from SAIT with an applied degree in Accounting.

Friesen

Communications Coordinator

Julia Friesen

Julia is passionate about sharing individual’s stories. She finds it a delight, therefore, to support the OneBook team by sharing with others the transformative work of Bible translation—and the faithfulness of God. Julia has received a degree in English at Tyndale University and lives in Ottawa, Ontario.

Fjeldstrom

Donor Relations/
Graphic Design

Larry Fjeldstrom

Larry is passionate about building relationships with donors, and especially delights in thanking people for their giving and praying with them. Larry has been a part of the OneBook staff since inception. He currently serves through his skills in graphic arts and being the donor relations coordinator. He also assists in the finance area in various tasks like acknowledgements and receipts.

Jerry Haasdyk

Jerry is a passionate advocate for Bible translation and literacy. For the past 33 years, he has served in multiple roles in project management and resource development within the Bible translation movement in Mozambique, South Africa, and Canada. He joined OneBook in 2007 when he was seconded from Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Rachel Yousef

Rachel Yousef

Rachel joined OneBook in 2023 and is passionate about creating opportunities for holistic change that allow others to learn and grow in their love for Jesus. She is excited to be part of this vibrant team where she can use her skill set for global impact. In her spare time, Rachel loves to spend time outdoors gardening, hiking with her family or curling up with a good book.

IT Manager

David Duncan

David longs for all people to have an opportunity to know God deeper through His Word. David serves as the OneBook liaison and Project Lead for The Bible Translator's Assistant (TBTA), as well as looking after the technical needs of the organization. He lives on a farm in BC with his wife Neva and two of his three children.
