​Now is the time for the new translator in the Kassin community to build their skills, confidence, and faith so he can get Scripture to his community.

 

You can supply one day’s session of critical training for a gift equal to $190. Or an hour of training for $20.

Translating Scripture is not an easy task. Especially if you are from a community that speaks a minority language.

​

Your education would be lacking. Your team would be small. And the statistics would stand tall against you: close to 50 percent of mother-tongue translators leave their work, records our partner in South Asia, because they are threatened and persecuted for their involvement in translating the Christian Bible.

Training sessions cover the topics of:

​

• Basic computer skills.

• Translation computer software training.

• Extensive sessions on biblical exegesis, including studies on the different types of literature in the Bible and the historical context for each book. 

• Scripture engagement training. Bisram hopes to attend an ethnomusicology workshop to compose songs in Kassin for local churches.

• Training on leading devotionals and Bible studies.
