Ted Seres, CEO
Ted is passionate about fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, and seeing people connect with God in their own language. Before joining OneBook, he served as the National Director of the Canadian Bible Society. Ted is an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), where he has served in pastoral ministry, missions with newcomers to Canada, First Nations leadership, and chaplaincy. Ted received his B.A in Political Science from McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, and earned his M.Div. at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon, SK.
Martin Engeler, Director of Program
Martin’s passion is sharing the power of the living word so that people may be transformed and become followers of Jesus Christ. Martin has served in various roles at OneBook, first using his training in audio and video to further Scripture engagement in Africa, then taking on a role in program support, and eventually becoming Program Director. Martin graduated from the Theological Seminary Bienenberg, Switzerland. He and his wife Chrissy have served in the Bible Translation movement for over 30 years, first in Cameroon and then in Canada.
Robin Clark, Director of Operations
Robin has served with OneBook for nine years, holding various positions in administration, operations, marketing, and development. Today she oversees the day-to-day operations of the charity. She earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration Degree from Crandall University, and worked at Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship and the United Nations World Food Programme before joining the OneBook team.
Jerry Haasdyk, Director of Development and Church Relations
Jerry is a passionate advocate for Bible translation and literacy. For the past 33 years, he has served in multiple roles in project management and resource development within the Bible translation movement in Mozambique, South Africa, and Canada. He joined OneBook in 2007 when he was seconded from Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Laura Lapsley, Marketing and Communications Manager
Laura is excited to be part of the OneBook team and the life-changing work of fulfilling the Great Commission. Before joining OneBook in 2015, she spent more than 15 years working in the Tech industry. She enjoys travel and is a big Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Canna Yang, Finance Manager
Canna is passionate about helping people. She has been a part of the OneBook team for the past eight years, where she enjoys serving God with her accounting skills and seeing His great work around the world. Canna graduated from SAIT with an applied degree in Accounting.
Larry Fjeldstrom, Donor Relations/Office Manager
Larry is passionate about building relationships with donors, and especially delights in thanking people for their giving and praying with them. Larry has been a part of the Onebook staff since inception. He currently serves in multiple roles as the Calgary office manager, donor relations coordinator, and editor of the monthly prayer bulletin.
David Duncan, Partner Liaison / IT Manager
David longs for all people to have an opportunity to know God deeper through His Word. David serves as the OneBook liaison for Kenya, as well as looking after the technical needs of the organization. He lives on a farm in BC with his wife Neva and two of his three children.
Danika Klumpenhower, Administrative Coordinator
Danika is passionate about reaching today’s youth with the gospel. She joined OneBook in 2017 and is excited to be a part of bringing God’s Word to the youth of the world in their heart language. She is heavily involved in the youth group at her local church, and spent many years volunteering at summer camps where she came to appreciate the critical importance of helping people connect with the gospel.
Dave Ohlson, Program Advisor/International Ambassador
Dave is passionate about Bible translation, and was instrumental in the formation of OneBook. He served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 47 years, and now holds the position of OneBook International Ambassodor. He also serves as a translation consultant, currently working on OneBook’s FNV New Testament project.
Sarah-Jane Downing, Communications Writer
Sarah-Jane is passionate about sharing stories that honour God and build compassion and understanding among His children. Over the past ten years she has worked as a professional writer for a variety of non-profits, and has been writing for OneBook since 2009. She is active in her local church, and loves travelling with family and friends.
