Striking A Stone Twice

To teach a woman read and write is like “striking a stone twice”
Gnenio Hayo a literacy student in the Puguli language of Burkina Faso said:
“I’m glad to be able to open a book and keep it in front of my children and to have taught them to read before they go to school. …Therefore, my last two children today know how to read a bit in Puguli without attending a literacy class or go to school. Because of this, their Daddy is pressed to go enroll them in the school because he believes now that his children are intelligent and will succeed”.
